At the Southwest Idaho Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (SWIEFT), we support our EFT therapists and counselors by arranging and publicizing training opportunities and supporting professional growth through consultation, collaboration and supervision. We are committed to building a safe, supportive community of Emotionally Focused Therapists who help each other learn and grow. In doing so, our goal is to ensure that all the people of Southwest Idaho have easy access to highly-trained professional therapists and counselors who apply the insights of attachment theory to facilitate lasting change and growth in relationships.
EFT stands for Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.
This approach to seeing relationships as an attachment bond to shape more loving relationships is leading the couple relationship field into a new understanding of romantic love. We now have a map to the territory called love and we can empower couples by showing them new and systematic ways to take control of dances of disconnection and conflict and, even more importantly, help each other move into the open, close embrace that is a secure loving bond.
